Main Idea : Waste of money or energy leads man to evil days. We should avoid the tendency to waste. 

Amplification : Man's life is full of difficulties. He has enormous wants in life. One want leads him to another want. When he falls in want, he wants to overcome this. He has to lead his life according to his income and power. Happiness doesn't last long in a man's life. Want is the inevitable part of life. We have to be careful about this. Want demoralizes a man. It destroys the morality and natural good instincts. Want leads a man to commit illegal and unethical work. He doesn't hesitate to deceive or kill others. We should not waste our time and energy. Nobody likes a man of waste. Everyone hates and avoids him. He lives a debased life. Even our Creator doesn't like a squanderer. We have to take a temperate view of life. We should collect for the evil days. Our collections for evil days satisfy our wants. Then we can lead a just and fair life. Thus, we will not want it if we don't waste our energy and property. We have to save bit by bit and spend as per our needs. 

মূলভাব : অর্থ ও শক্তির অপচয় মানুষকে দুর্দিনের দিকে ঠেলে দেয়। আমাদের অপচয়ের প্রবণতা ত্যাগ করা উচিত। 

ভাবসম্প্রসারণ : মানুষের জীবন ঝামেলায় পূর্ণ। তার জীবনে প্রচুর অভাব আছে। একটি অভাব তাকে অপর অভাবের দিকে ঠেলে দেয়। যখন সে অভাবে পড়ে, তখন সে এটিকে জয় করতে চায়। তার আয় ও সামর্থ্য অনুসারে তাকে তার জীবনযাপন করতে হবে। একজন মানুষের জীবনে সুখ দীর্ঘসময় স্থায়ী হয় না। অভাব জীবনের অপরিহার্য অংশ। আমাদের এই ব্যাপারে সতর্ক হতে হবে। অভাব একজন মানুষকে নীতিভ্রষ্ট করে। এটি নৈতিকতা ও সহজাত সৎ প্রবণতাকে ধ্বংস করে। অভাব একজন মানুষকে অবৈধ ও অনৈতিক কাজ করতে তাড়া করে। সে অপরকে প্রতারণা বা হত্যা করতে ইতস্তত করে না। আমাদের সময় ও শক্তিকে অপচয় করা উচিত নয়। অপচয়কারীকে কেউ পছন্দ করে। না। প্রত্যেকে তাকে ঘৃণা ও পরিহার করে। সে অধঃপতিত জীবনযাপন। করে। এমনকি আমাদের স্রষ্টাও অপব্যয়কারীকে পছন্দ করেন না। আমাদের জীবনের পরিমিত ধারণা সৃষ্টি করতে হবে। আমাদের মদ দিনগুলোকে সংগ্রহ করা উচিত। আমাদের মন্দ দিনগুলোর সংগ্রহ আমাদের অভাবকে তৃপ্ত করবে। অতঃপর আমরা সঠিক ও সুন্দর যাপন করতে পারবো। সুতরাং আমরা যদি শক্তি ও সম্পদের অপচয় না করি, তাহলে আমরা অভাবে পড়বো না। আমাদের ক্রমে ক্রমে সঞ্চয় করতে হবে এবং আমাদের প্রয়োজন অনুযায়ী ব্যয় করতে হবে।
