The July Uprising 2024 was a student-led movement to protest against an unfair quota system in government jobs. The students wanted justice, but the government used force to suppress them. On July 16, Abu Sayeed, a student of the English Department at Begum Rokeya University, was killed by police during the protest. This tragedy sparked nationwide outrage. People from all walks of life joined the movement, turning it into a mass revolution. On August 5, the fascist government fled the country. Then, on August 8, Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus became the Chief Advisor of the interim government, bringing hope for a better future. Despite losing 1,423 lives and injuring over 22,000, this uprising became a symbol of courage and unity.
