Main Idea : Prevention is a safe way to remain away from any problem. We should prevent a problem early before it gets larger. Preventive measures help us in controlling problems.

Amplification : Man has to lead a thorny life on earth. He has to undergo numerous problems. One problem leads him to other problems if it is not removed. We have to take preventive steps before problems get bigger. If the problem gets bigger, it will be difficult for us to cure this. Preventive methods are more fruitful to remove any problem than finding out solutions to cure that problem. Cure can't always cure us completely. It is prevention that keeps us away from dangers and we can enjoy a carefree and happy life. We have to be careful against any problem. We have to take precautionary steps to face the danger. Preventive measures help us lessen our problems. We can control any problems beforehand if we take preventive measures. Thus, we can avoid many disasters, complexities, confusion, and destruction by taking appropriate preemptory measures.

মূলভাব : বাধাদান হলো কোনো সমস্যা থেকে দূরে থাকার একটি নিরাপন উপায়। একটি সমস্যার বৃহদাকার লাভ করার পূর্বে শীঘ্রই আমাদের বাধাদান করা উচিত। সমস্যা নিয়ন্ত্রণে প্রতিরোধমূলক ব্যবস্থা আমাদেরকে সাহায্য করতে পারে।

ভাবসম্প্রসারণ : মানুষকে পৃথিবীতে কণ্টকাকীর্ণ জীবনযাপন করতে হয়। তাকে অসংখ্য সমস্যা ভোগ করতে হয়। যদি এটি দূর করা না হয়, তাহলে একটি সমস্যা অপর সমস্যার দিকে চালিত করে। সমস্যাগুলো বড়ো হওয়ার পূর্বেই আমাদেরকে প্রতিরোধমূলক পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করতে হবে। যদি সমস্যাটি বৃহত্তর হয়, তাহলে এটি নিরাময় করা আমাদের পক্ষে কঠিন হবে। সমাধান খুঁজে বের করে ঐ সমস্যা নিরাময় করার চেয়ে যেকোনো সমস্যা দূর করার প্রতিরোধমূলক পদ্ধতি হলো ফলপ্রসূ। নিরাময় সর্বদা সম্পূর্ণভাবে আমাদের নিরাময় করতে পারে না। প্রতিরোধই আমাদেরকে বিপদ থেকে দূরে রাখে এবং আমরা উদ্বেগহীন ও সুখী জীবন উপভোগ করতে পারি। আমাদের যেকোনো সমস্যার বিরুদ্ধে সতর্ক হতে হবে। আমাদেরকে বিপদ মোকাবিলা করতে সতর্কতামূলক পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করতে হবে। প্রতিরোধমূলক ব্যবস্থা আমাদের সমস্যাকে কমিয়ে আনতে সাহায্য করে। সময় থাকতেই আমরা যেকোনো সমস্যা নিয়ন্ত্রণ করতে পারি, যদি আমরা প্রতিরোধমূলক ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করি। এভাবে আমরা উপযুক্ত নিরসনমূলক ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে অনেক বিপর্যয়, জটিলতা, বিশৃঙ্খল অবস্থা ও ধ্বংস থেকে অব্যাহতি পেতে পারি।

This proverb holds well in every sphere of life. We should try to prevent the occurrence of trouble at the beginning. We should guard against forming a bad habit. It is better not to allow a bad habit to creep into our character at all than to try to shake it off after it has crept into our character.

In fact, men should always be cautious to stop a bad habit at the initial stage of all troubles. The last chance of the occurrence of any trouble should be avoided in a way that would stop its occurrence.
