Rimi’s Magnanimity Towards a Poor Old Woman

It was a holiday. Rimi was staying home alone as her parents had gone to their village home. They told Rimi to remain careful and also assured her that they would come back before evening. She thought of making a good use of her lonely time. She was fond of reading adventure stories and so started reading one. Suddenly, she heard a sound from the outside of their house. It happened at around 3:00 pm. At first, she thought that her parents might return a bit earlier. She was brave enough to face such situation. Because she stayed at home alone earlier as well. She went to the man gate and opened it. She found an old poor woman standing there. When Rimi wanted to know what she wanted, the old woman just burst into tears. Then she requested Rimi to give her some food to eat. Because, as she went on saying, she had been starving since the previous day. Rimi was, by nature, very kind-hearted. She took the old woman inside their house and gave her some food to eat. The woman took the food to her seart’s content and prayed to the Almighty for Rimi. Seeing the pitiable situation, Rimi gave her some money and clothes. Then the old woman went away with a happy heart.
